2023 Tokai Japan LSS-136 Les Paul Special "See Through White" & new hard case

What a lovely guitar this is. Finished in see-thru White, this Les Paul Special from Tokai Japan is really built to a high standard. I have had an LSS-104 & an LSS-124 in the past which were lovely but this higher grade LSS-136 is even better. Tokai's model identification can be tricky but in simple terms, the higher the number is, the better the guitar is as it relates to the price new in Japanese Yen (124 + 124,000 Yen) but having said all of that, prices increase so an LSS-124 from 2019 is probably the same grade as an LSS-136 from 2023 but the price has just increased. Confusing? Yes, it is! With the Tokai Les Pauls, you can buy an LS-33 or an LS-200. The LS-200 is obviously much, much better than the LS-33.
This guitar has a serial number dating it to 2023. It looks to have been barely used and I couldn't find any blemishes on the African Mahogany body or neck. The body is made from two pieces as the photos in the gallery show.
I have tried to show the "see through" finish in the gallery but the camera hasn't picked it up very well.
The guitar has a thicker 50's style neck and plays beautifully even with my small hands & Tokai's own P90 pickups have a fabulous tone

Hard Case
As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit. Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
