JAPAN IMPORT

This Japanese reissue of the Mosrite Super Excellent '65 guitar is also known as "The Ventures" model. It was built at the Kurokumo factory in Japan around 2000. I've been unable to establish the exact date as yet and I'm waiting on a few email replies. The Mosrite brand from California were pretty famous in the 60's and the Super Excellent '65 guitars boast thin necks, lightweight bodies, the Mosrite USA Vibramute tailpiece & roller bridge, Mosrite USA 1800 pickups. This is a superbly made reissue and very faithful to the original design. Kurokumo made guitars are highly rated.

This guitar is in superb condition showing few signs of use. It plays really nicely & the pickups sound fab. It's highly recommended for someone who wants a high quality guitar that's very different or a collector of "surf" type guitars.

Here's a quick history of Mosrite (thanks Wikipedia!):

Mosrite was an American guitar manufacturing company, based in Bakersfield, California, from the late 1950s to the early 1990s. Founded by Semie Moseley, Mosrite guitars were played by many rock and roll and country artists.
Mosrite guitars were known for innovative design, high-quality engineering, very thin, low-fretted and narrow necks (though Mosrite used taller frets and wider necks after the 1960s,) and extremely hot (high output) pickups. Moseley's design for The Ventures, known as "the Ventures model" (later known as the "Mark I") was generally considered to be the flagship of the line.

Reissues were built in Japan to a high standard at both the Fillmore & Kurokumo factories in the 1990s & 2000's.

As stated many times, due to courier damage, all my guitars are shipped in hard cases (usually new) this one being a plain black one. If you are collecting, I'm happy to knock off the price of the case (About £50) & I may even have an old gig bag you can have to take it away in

So, to sum up. A high end reissue guitar from Mosrite built at the Kurokumon factory in Japan. This model is not so easy (or as cheap) to find here in the UK unless you import it. Why not play something that's just a little bit different?
