Here's an excellent example of an early Edwards Les Paul Custom in Black & Gold with a Maple top. Usual top quality build and specs from this great guitar maker. The guitar has a solid Mahogany body with a carved Maple top & Mahogany neck with an Ebony fretboard. The guitar is loaded with the classic combination from Seymour Duncan, an SH-1n at the neck & SH-4b at the bridge. These are enclosed with gold finish covers

Although nearly 20 years old, this guitar is in really good condition & other than a few scratches around the edges and on the back and the missing vol/tone caps from the knobs which are easily and cheaply available online. A really nice looking Les Paul Custom from Edwards that's also a fantastic player & like all Edwards, is superb quality & great playability.

A point to note. The figures on the model numbers relate to the new prices in Japanese Yen. As it's an early Les Paul Custom the model is E-LP-105CD, Later models are E-LP-130CD but they are the same spec they were just priced differently when released.

Edwards guitars are assembled in Japan by ESP. The bodies & necks are made at an ESP factory in a northern province in China overseen by Japanese ESP employees. All the finishing is done at a facility in Tokyo, Japan. As far as I am aware, Edwards guitars are generally close replicas of USA guitars & as such, they are just made for the Japanese domestic market. What I will say about them is that they are built to a really high standard & not only that, they use good woods (Ash/Alder/Mahogany etc) and are usually fitted with USA pickups & electrics (CTS pots & switches) and Japanese GOTOH hardwear. The Edwards Les Paul range are always popular & they never hang around very long.

This particular guitar is from 2006 is finished in black with yellow binding and gold finished hardwear. It has been well looked after. It does have a few chips and scratches on the body but nothing excessive and this looks very natural & is expected with age. Otherwise it's excellent. Please check out the gallery photos. As I said, Edwards have given this a vintage style finish which looks great. The humbucking pickups from Seymour Duncan USA sound great. The frets show no visible wear & the guitar plays really well. It's comfortable, weighs just 3.99kg the Seymour Duncans  sound fantastic and it looks great

Hard Case Policy

As said many times, all my guitars come shipped in a new black hard case which is included in the price. I find this is the safest way to avoid damage in transit.  Alternatively, if you are collecting the guitar and, like some buyers have cases coming out of their ears, that's no problem, I'll adjust the price (usually around a £50 discount) and I can usually find you an old gigbag to take the guitar away in. The only hard and fast rule I have is that I won't ship a guitar in a gigbag.
